Hardox

HARDOX is the brand name of a wear plate produced by SSAB (Swedish Steel AB) for extreme abrasion resistance.

Hardox wears plate is the world's leading abrasion-resistant steel, available worldwide in ten steel grades. Hardox is hard through and through, from the surface deep down to its core, giving extended service life and high productivity in the most challenging environments.

Features of Hardox

The products are provided in a wide range of sizes from 4 mm to 160 mm thick. Can be used in many different components and structures that are subject to extreme wear conditions.

Hardox combines good bendability and weldability with an option for guaranteed impact toughness. By providing a much higher impact & sliding wear resistance than high carbon steel materials but with lower thickness materials, it reduces the bodyweight of wear parts, saving extra materials’ costs and substantially increasing their lifetime.
